S04R Western Sahara 2009
Another expedition to Western Sahara by the “Tifariti Gang”. Last time I worked this team as S01R was back in 2006. The team has a good routine and its always a pleasure to work them. For this year I have them in log for 15-20-30-40-80- and 160m cw/ssb.

VK9GMW Mellish Reef on 20-30-40-80m
Sunday 05.04.2009: VK9GMW was on 20m cw. He had a tremendous signal, and he was working JA `s for a long time before he was asking for EU and AF. The pile was big, so this was a challenge, but at 08:48z he went in log, and I was very happy. Later he was on 30m, also with a very strong signal and after a while I got them on this band to. The TB signal at my place has been very poor, since I suffering under a lot of static noise at the time, but I still hope for a q on that band.
After some days of incredible noise and heavy qrm from other stations who tried very hard to jam VK9GMW frequency, I was quiet lucky the second of April since I could work VK9GMW at 17:31z on 40m cw.
A real nice one was showing up Monday Th 30 mars, early evening at 3508.5 Mhz. VK9GMW is activ from Mellish Reef and he had a quiet good signal, so there was a hope. After a moment of spotting and calling, I was enable to work him 17.38z. You can find more info from this dxpedition her: http://vk9gmw.com
T2UF Tuvalu Isl
LA5UF Jørgen is now qrv from Tuvalu Isl. He have been quiet activ lately with a good signal on 20m cw. I worked him around 07.00z, but his signal has been at max point around 10.00 z at my qth.
VK9LA Lord Howe Isl on 30-40m
The Dxpedition to Lord Howe Isl become a highlight when I got some new ones on 30 and 40m cw. Still hope for 80, but I think it will be differcult for the TB now.
